Dragon City Breaks Record with Nearly 1M Visitors in August 2019

Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the largest real estate developer in the Kingdom of Bahrain, recently announced that Dragon City Mall, one of the largest whole-sale and retail trade center in the Kingdom, has successfully attracted nearly 1 million visitors in August 2019. 

Statistics have revealed that Dragon City Mall has received more than 6.1 million visitors since the beginning of the year. The daily average footfall in August 2019 exceeded 25,000 visitors per day, which was an 8.6% increase in comparison to last year.

Commenting on this achievement, Eng. Ahmed Al Ammadi, CEO of Diyar Al Muharraq said: ‘We are proud of Dragon City Mall achievements this year. It is the leading retail mall with the highest occupancy rate in the Kingdom, which is considered a testament to the reputation and success of Dragon City Mall in attracting businessmen and shoppers alike from inside and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain. These statistics also reflect the nurturing environment it provides towards business development and growth. We look forward to further achievements next year.’

Last August saw the debut of DiDi, Dragon City Mall’s official mascot which will be the new face of the mall across social media accounts and at different mall events. The mascot launch comes in line with Chinamex, Dragon City Mall’s operating company, to solidify the mall’s position as one of the leading shopping center in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the first choice for shoppers from Bahrain and neighboring countries.

Dragon City Mall is located at the south west of the southern island of Diyar Al Muharraq, which covers an area of 115,000 square meter. It is the first of its kind project in the Kingdom and includes Dragon City, a built-up area of 56,000 sq m, Dragon Apartments which are in close proximity to the mall, occupying a total land area of 20,000 sq m, these apartments comprise of six multi-storey residential buildings which offer the ideal residence for the staff working within Diyar Al Muharraq and near the mall. In addition, Dragon Plaza covers an area of 5,000 sq m, as well as an allocated area for warehouses. 

Dragon City Mall is home to more than 787 commercial units, effectively making it the largest wholesale and retail trading center in the Kingdom of Bahrain and due to its unique location, it has become a leading destination for shoppers and retailers alike from inside and outside the Kingdom.
