Diyar Al Muharraq Announces Opening of Saleh Al Fadhala Mosque in Al Bareh

Diyar Al Muharraq has inaugurated the Saleh Al Fadhala Mosque in the presence of Dr. Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Hajeri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council.

In his opening speech, Dr. Shaikh Rashid Al Hajeri reaffirmed the role of worship in the Kingdom of Bahrain as set by the government, which aims to embed religious values and ethics between all members of the local community, in addition to fostering good citizenship.

He commented: “This project falls under the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to build and reconstruct places of worship in all governorates of the Kingdom, as well as the comprehensive plan launched by the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to implement projects that meet the needs of citizens to implement places of worship that fulfill the requirements of all areas in Bahrain.”

Dr. Al Hajeri praised the Bahraini people for their continuous charitable deeds in building and constructing mosques as a beacon of hope for the community, reinforcing the devotional and social role mosques play in the lives of Muslims. He also expressed his appreciation for the generous support displayed by the donor in building the mosque, noting the importance in the building, construction and maintenance of mosques.

Abdulhakim Yaqoob Al Khayat, Chairman of Diyar Al Muharraq, commended the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for places of worship, emphasizing the role mosques play in promoting several values including cooperation, synergy, unity, and solidarity, and their active contribution to the promotion of good citizenship. 

He also hailed Saleh Al Fadhala for his tremendous support in augurating the mosque to the highest quality standards. He thanked all the workers involved in the project for their resilient efforts over the past two years as the mosque will aim to serve all worshipers in Al Bareh and nearby areas. 

He concluded by thanking Dr. Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Hajeri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council for his support and all members of the Council for their continuous cooperation, as well as the Chief Executive Officer of Diyar Al Muharraq and the executive management team.

The Saleh Al Fadhala Mosque spans an area of over 2787 sqm, with a construction area of 1116 sqm, to accommodate 272 worshippers. The project also includes a separate prayer hall for women, a residence for the imam and the muezzin, and a hall for holding various religious and social events.
