Diyar Al Muharraq Announces Construction Progress Is On Track On “Souq Al Baraha” Project

Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the largest real estate development companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced that construction progress on the “Souq Al Baraha” project is in full swing in preparation for the project’s completion and official opening which is scheduled to take place at the start of the second quarter of 2021.
Construction work on “Souq Al Baraha” stands at 40% with Diyar Al Muharraq closely monitoring the building’s development to ensure a smooth workflow and adherence to the completion schedule. Al Moayyed Contracting has been appointed as the main contractor on the project. So far, a substantial percentage of the project’s spaces have already been leased to local and international investors.
“Souq Al Baraha” is located at the center of Diyar Al Muharraq in close proximity to the main residential, commercial and entertainment hubs within the masterplan. The market contains indoor commercial spaces and various outdoor kiosks, making it an ideal shopping destination not only for the Diyar Al Muharraq residents but for all visitors from across the Kingdom. “Souq Al Baraha” is also well positioned to act as a leading tourist destination for visitors coming from the GCC countries and beyond.

“Souq Al Baraha” has a built up area of 20,242 square meters, and covers a total land size of 64,202 square meters; it includes a total leasable space totaling 13,431 square meters and comprises 468 stores and 20 office units. The project aims to provide visitors with an integrated shopping experience complemented by 686 of parking space.

The “Souq Al Baraha” project aims to offer a new concept of shopping within a harmonious atmosphere inspired by a fusion of the past reminiscent of the authentic Bahraini lifestyle with the modern comforts of the present. The market will include a special section showcasing Bahraini heritage with a market for handicrafts and gold jewelry, as well as a variety of traditional Bahraini products, foods and handwoven textiles, all under one roof. Special areas will also be allocated for fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as fish, meat and poultry.
The project will also house a variety of restaurants and cafes, as well as a family entertainment center, a mosque, a supermarket and public facilities to ensure the utmost comfort for visitors, in addition to a fuel station.
