As a Platinum Sponsor of the upcoming Bahrain International Garden Show (BIGS) 2012, the eagerly anticipated initiative which has become a significant annual highlight in Bahrain’s event calendar, will be held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al- Khalifa, King of Bahrain and the support of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of the King of Bahrain. The show, titled, “Inspiring Agricultural Sustainability” is scheduled between January 16-18, 2012 at the Bahrain International Convention & Exhibition Center and will showcase the latest trends and technology in gardening and landscaping. The official opening will take place on the 15th of January 2012. What distinguishes this year’s show is the National Initiative for Agricultural Development launched by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa in March 2010, with the aim of unifying all efforts to enhance the agricultural industry in Bahrain.

The event is one more of the many initiatives supported by DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ, one of Bahrain’s biggest mixed-use residential urban developments, which has been seen as a leader in advocating corporate social responsibility. The company has implemented several programs to address environmental concerns and has been unceasing in its efforts to raise public support and awareness for these causes.
