Bahrain, 8th July 2009: A scientific presentation titled “Environmental Monitoring and Management Initiatives” was conducted by Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the largest mixed use developments at the Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE) Tuesday (July 7th) evening.
The presentation was delivered by Ms. Justine Carr, Principal Environmental Scientist at Scott Wilson’s Bahrain office, one of the lead engineering consultancies working on Diyar Al Muharraq and one of the most prominent international firms in sustainable planning. The presentation detailed the necessary stages including baseline environmental studies, environmental management plan, monitoring water quality, ecological monitoring, needed to put together a comprehensive cutting-edge environmental plan in urban developments.
The presentation was followed by an interactive Q&A session between the audience, which included more than 50 BSE members, environmental researchers, academics, developers, and media representatives, and a panel consisting of Ms. Carr and other Scott Wilson representatives.
