DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ ANNOUNCES  PRIZE WINNERS OF DRAWING COMPETITION

DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ Announces  Prize Winners of Drawing Competition 20 May 2010

The competition was held for schools and was open to primary school children from all grades

Manama: DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ, one of Bahrain’s biggest mixed-use residential urban developments has announced the list of winners for the drawing competition that was conducted last month. The competition was held for schools and was open to primary school children from all grades. In a formal announcement made last month DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ had officially announce the commencement of the competition in various schools. The competition was aimed at identifying and nurturing children with versatile creative skills. DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ rewarded the five best drawings with some fabulous prizes.  Mariam Saed Al Hameedi from Roquya Primary Girls School won the First Prize. The Second Prizes were given to Abdulla Hussain Al Kooheji from South Hidd Primary Boys School and Hadeel Yahya Salim from A'Amena Bint Wahab Primary Girls School. The Third Prizes were given to Mohamed Mosa Mohamed from Arad Primary Boys School and Shreen Mahmood Abdulrahman from Roquya Primary Girls School. In addition to this, the first prize winner’s school was rewarded with a landscaping service which was also sponsored by DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ.

The main aim behind this competition was to identify, encourage, nurture and reward young creative talents who have the potential to take Bahrain’s name far and wide on an international level. I extend my sincerest gratitude to the teachers, principals and other staff of the schools who have contributed to the success of this competition. And above all, I would like to thank the Ministry of Education for their tremendous support that made this event possible.”
