DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ

AN ENDURING LEGACY

Muharraq, the erstwhile capital of the Kingdom of Bahrain is also the island's second largest city.

With a rich past that dates back five millenniums to the Dilmun era, Muharraq is renowned for its warm hospitality and welcoming people. Muharraq has always been at the centre of the trade, political, social and tourism scene in Bahrain. The pearling industry of Bahrain which goes back centuries has its roots in Muharraq. Today’s Muharraq is a fast growing city with a prominent hub for the fishing industry and is still home to some of the oldest families in Bahrain. Muharraq is an eclectic mix of the ancient and the modern, and it still bears its old-world charm along with its contemporary outlook. Muharraq, beyond any doubt came as the ideal location for DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ, as the project in itself hopes to perfectly combine the old and the new and create a new landmark that will be marvelled upon for ages.
