Eco-friendliness has been among the topmost priorities of DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ since the very beginning.

The company has been ‘more deeds than words’ in terms of preserving the fragile marine ecosystem that surrounds the project location. A series of steps have been devised after consulting reputed international consultants for preserving and replenishing the aquatic life at the location. Different stages like Baseline Environmental Studies, Water Quality Monitoring, Ecological Monitoring, Coastline Monitoring, and Environmental Compensation Plan (ECP) have been devised as part of the company’s extensive Environmental Management Plan (EMP).The project is the first in the GCC to commission and adopt an online Environmental Management System as part of its comprehensive Environmental Management Plan (EMP).

In the recent past DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ had partnered with the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) to promote and improve Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) practices. DIANA is another system that DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ has implemented to get automated real-time updates and analysis on environmental monitoring and management.
